How to Order Samples

We are continuously improving our sample process and have free samples available on most of our products.

Our products are available in multiple package, voltage and temperature options. We always attempt to satisfy your specific requirement but we reserve the right to have our sample support desk contact you to offer substitutes.

Requesting samples from us is a simple process.

  1. You will be asked to register by providing your email address. Your privacy is important to us and the registration lists are kept confidential. We do reserve the right to have a customer support or Applications specialist contact you to understand your interest in our products. Click here to register.
  2. Complete the registration process by clicking on a link in the email that is sent to the address provided. It is important to confirm that we are able to contact you.
  3. Search our site for the products you want to sample. Click on "Order Samples" to add product to the sample order basket or use the fast "add to cart" feature for specific part numbers.
  4. There is a limitation of 4 lines per sample order. If your requirement requires more than 4 lines, please contact (510) 668-7000.
  5. Check out your sample cart. You are required to provide information on your application to help us better understand how our products are being used.
  6. Click on request samples. Confirm the sample order by clicking on the link in the email that will be sent to you.
  7. You are provided a sample tracking number once you confirm the order and you will receive an email within 24 hours with order status information.

Status of your sample order can be requested at any time by sending an email to customer support. Ensure you reference your sample request number in the subject.

Exar provides our sample service at no charge to our customers. However, we reserve the right to refuse requests from anyone we feel is abusing the system.
